We follow the guideline of the international norms and conditions to manufacture our plastic injection moulds. We undertake stringent quality measures on the parameters like, Corrosion resistant, High compressive strength, Dimensional accurate, Long service life.

Inspection on Quality Station

Inspection

Parts at the quality station are inspected for more detailed specifications like measurements or failure tests. Here our experts check some essential parameters of the mould, and make a report accordingly. If they find any problem with the mould, the mould is directly delivered to our production department and they fix the problem.

Visual Inspection of Mould

Visual Inspection

Parts are initially inspected directly out of the molding machine. Quality Assurance technicians are trained to identify and rectify the following defects:

Sink Marks

Plastic injection molding has rather obvious display issues that can be removed through a visual inspection. Different problems can occur throughout the manufacturing process, based on the heat, the material used, the setting time and several other variables. Sink marks are the most common.

Liquid Plastic Flashing

A flash occurs when two different parts of a mold are melted together. If two pieces of molten plastic come together too quickly, the pieces can fuse together and not become dislodged. Oftentimes in the injection molding manufacturing process, two products are placed together as each cools, creating a temporary bond that can be easily detached and broken.

Short Shots and Knit Lines

Short shots occur when not enough plastic is used in the mold. This causes soft corners, chips or areas of the mold simply not appearing. Knit lines show where two different areas of the plastic mold came together initially.

Gas and Burn Marks

Gas marks or burns can occur when the plastic is left in the molding cavity for too long and is scorched. It can also occur if the hot compressed air inside of the mold is unable to escape the mold, causing it to build up inside of the mold and scorch the plastic.

Raw Material Inspection

We at R. D. Mould & Ind. prefer to check a quality of raw material provided by our vendors. A raw material inspection is to select materials or items for manufacturing or processing at our factory for the first stage of mould manufacturing. Inspection and tests on all aspects of materials as physical, chemical and verify materials the requirements of a specification & quality standards are met. All raw materials are verified for conformance upon receipt.

Final Inspection

Inspection

Finished parts undergo one the final inspection in our staging area to ensure consistency across production shifts. Here we check all the things about the mold and give the green signal to the mould for their journey. Because this is the last stage of quality check, We want it to meet the customer in good condition, and to work long.
